Sweet Baby Ray’s Mango Habanero Wings

Oh my goodness. Oh me. I’m so badly addicted to Sweet Baby Ray’s Mango Habanero wings sauce that I cannot stop making wings tossed in the sauce, day after day. This sauce is everything I want in a sauce. It’s a little sweet. It has a hint of mango. Not overpowering, either. And just the right amount of heat. I wouldn’t call it hot, but it’s close to it. But the sweetness tames a lot of that heat. This sauce is beyond finger-licking good. I’d drink it out of the bottle. Without hesitation.

Sweet Baby Ray's Mango Habanero Wings

I hope that the ‘Limited Edition’ words on the bottle of Sweet Baby Ray’s Mango Habanero wings sauce are just that. Words. This sauce is way, way too good to ever go away. I’ll have some on hand. And not just for wings, either. Slather it on grilled chicken. Brush it on rack after rack of smoked ribs. Drizzle it over salmon filets.

Croix Valley Mango Habanero Dry Wings

I didn’t have to make dry wings. I could’ve seasoned them and then sauced them. But I’m a huge fan of dry wings and Croix Valley Mango Habanero Dry Wings are some of the best I’ve ever had. All I had to do was cook up a batch of wings and toss them in the seasoning and enjoy a crazy good lunch. Up first, I got the heat. And a good bit of it too. Then that spiciness took a back seat and up came the tropical fruitiness of mango. Heck no, I couldn’t get enough! These wings did not last at all!

Croix Valley Mango Habanero Dry Wings

I knew these Croix Valley Mango Habanero Dry Wings would be great as soon as I opened the seasoning pouch. It’s always good to get a little taste the first time you use a rub or a sauce. Without that you might use too much. You can always add more, but it’s hard to use less once you’ve already seasoned your wings!

Also try this rub on shrimp.

Wing Master Mango Habanero Wings

For me, going to a Pepper Palace store is like going to Disney World. I walk through the doors and I start to smile like a kid. So many sauces (and other things). I’ve been to several Pepper Palace stores and I’ll be to more to pick up great sauces like their Wing Master Mango Habanero wing sauce. This is a(nother) great sauce, a wonderful combination of sweet mango and spicy habanero, that absolutely delights with each bite!

Wing Master Mango Habanero Wings

I wouldn’t call Pepper Palace’s Wing Master mango habanero wing sauce overly spicy. Oh don’t get me wrong, it’s got some kick. Hey, it does contain habaneros. For me, it was just the right amount of spiciness. I’m not a fan of overly hot sauces that have no flavor. I’m a big fan of this sauce.

Pepper Palace makes a ton of great sauces and seasonings, not just for wings. Find a store near you and spend an hour or two wandering the shelves. They always have an area where you can sample sauces and spices, too. It’s like flavor heaven. Instead, if there’s not one near you, take a road trip (it’ll be worth it) or order online.

G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero Wings

This is my second bottle of sugar free wing sauce from G Hughes. The first, Thai chili, was absolutely amazing. Was it a fluke that such a great sauce was also sugar free? Nope. Definitely not. Because G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero Wings sauce is just as amazing! Lightly fruity with a decent amount of heat, I really love this sauce. It’s finger-licking good. Delicious.

G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero Wings

I wouldn’t call G Hughes Sugar Free Mango Habanero Wings sauce overly sweet, but it’s sweet (despite no sugar!). And I wouldn’t call it overly spicy, but it’s spicy. It strikes a nice balance between the heat and the sweet. I could definitely see myself using this as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or as a sauce on grilled chicken or ribs.

Remember that if you have to refrigerate your open bottle of wing sauce to let it sit out on the counter for at least 30 minutes before using. You don’t want to ‘shock’ hot, just-cooked wings with a cold sauce.

Buffalo Wild Wings Mango Habanero Wings

Well, it does say it right there in the name: Habanero. Some sauces say they have habanero but don’t back it up with the heat (even though they should be quite hot according to the Scolville scale!). Well, Buffalo Wild Wings Mango Habanero Wings sauce brings the heat. Oh yeah, you get the mango too. It’s not overwhelmed by the spicy pepper. This is a great sauce when you need some heat and flavor at the same time.

Buffalo Wild Wings Mango Habanero Wings

Buffalo Wild Wings Mango Habanero Wings sauce is also fantastic on grilled burgers or chicken sandwiches. Really great. Just make sure you don’t have any guests that prefer less spicy foods, ‘cuz this sauce brings the heat and then some. You’ve been warned! (But it’s oooooh so good!)

Copycat Buffalo Wild Wings Mango Habanero Wings

Don’t fear the habanero. Don’t worry about the heat. Well, ok, maybe a little. But it’s really tamed by the fantastic mango sauce. This might well be the perfect combination of sweet and heat. This is what Buffalo wing sauce wants to be when it grows up. This copycat Buffalo Wild Wings mango habanero sauce is nothing but awesome.

Copycat Buffalo Wild Wings Mango Habanero Wings

I used a can of mango nectar when I made this copycat Buffalo Wild Wings mango habanero sauce. It can be found in the Hispanic foods section of your grocery store. If you can’t find it, you might find it in the juice section. In a pinch, you can substitute mango that has been diced and pureed until very smooth. In that case you’ll probably need to strain the sauce before using.

I store my leftover homemade sauces in squeeze bottles. If refrigerated, I set them out an hour before using so they come to room temperature. You don’t want to put cold sauce on hot wings!

Meijer Mango Habanero Wings

I admit, I might have been a little worried when I first opened a bottle of Meijer’s Mango Habanero wing sauce to take a taste. You don’t mess around with habaneros. As much as I’m a fan of spicy food, habaneros can actually just hurt.

Well, my fears were unfounded because the heat is tamed perfectly by sweet mangoes. Yeah, oh yeah, there’s still a spicy kick, but it’s spot-on perfect. Like the other Meijer wing sauces I’ve tried, I found it to be perfect!

Meijer Mango Habanero Wings

Besides great flavors (like this Mango Habanero wing sauce) and perfect consistency (you don’t want your wing sauce ending up in a puddle at the bottom of your plate), Meijer’s wing sauces are all all-natural. No weird stuff makes for better wings!
